GENEVA- Kathryn M. Gringeri, age 92, of Geneva passed away on Saturday April 7, 2018 at Geneva General Hospital.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (April 12) at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hobart & William Smith Colleges or a charity of choice.

Kathryn was born on November 11, 1925 in Geneva the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Brigande Gringeri. Kathryn worked for many years at the social security 0ffice after graduating from DeSales high school. Upon retiring from the social security office she entered college and earned a associates degree from FLCC and a Bachelors degree from William Smith College in 1976. She then began her second career as a RN at the VA hospital in Syracuse.

Kathryn loved the outdoors, gardening and traveling to ski resorts as an avid snow skier.

She is survived by nephews and a niece; Dr. Anthony Gringeri of Thousand Oaks, CA, Dr. Richard (Lynn) Gringeri of San Jose, CA, Robert (Debbie) Gringeri of Geneva, John Gringeri of Geneva, Pam (Dr. Richard) Chemelli of Dallas, TX and Walt (Jen) Kozlowsky of Naples, FL; several great nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Josephine Gringeri, Carmella Kozlowsky; brother, Dr. Anthony (Helen) Gringeri.
